Three night stay as a HHD on points. The HH points offer for the executive rooms was lower than for the regular rooms, so we had a reservation for an executive room and were upgraded to a very nice suite.
Pre-Arrival. I had some nice e-mail contact with the hotel even before arrival. However, when I told them that our flight would arrive in HAN at 6am and whether a very early check-in would be possible, I didn't hear anything from them anymore.
Arrival. Our flight had a two hour delay, so we arrived at the hotel around 9:30 am. In fact, they allowed us to check in immediately without any problems. We could even have breakfast in the lounge just after arrival.
Breakfast. Breakfast in the lounge was very nice (6-10 on weekdays; 6-10:30 on Sunday). It is an executive priviledge to choose breakfast in the Ba Mien restaurant instead, but we didn't do so. I normally prefer the restaurant over the lounge due to the larger choice, but here I felt that the lounge offered everything I needed.
Drinks in the lounge. Afternoon tea from 3-6pm every day. Cocktail hour with some snacks from 6-8 pm every day. Not a dinner replacement, but if you had a substantial lunch, then it can serve as supper.
Location. Very good and central. The old part of Hanoi is within walking distance.
Gym. Relatively small and old equipment.
Travel desk. The travel desk on ground floor handled some issues with Vietnam Airlines (a number of flights in Vietnam after our stay in Hanoi) and the booking of a trip to the Ha Long Bay very competently.
Business Centre. There is a business centre on one of the intermediate levels between the ground floor and the residential floors where one can print: easy to use. (To be honest, I rarely used business centres at hotels before, so I have no idea whether this was sub-par or super-par, but it certainly allowed me to do what I needed to do.)
If I come back to Hanoi, I would return to this hotel without hesitation.
