I agree with the above thoughts. While the business first product is definitionally the same on both planes, the 474 upper deck wins all the subjective tie breaks for the reasons above (added storage next to seat, lack of any Y class up stairs). I occasionally connect oddly just to get the long haul in 747 vice 777 BF
I'm waiting to have an opportunity to try the long haul 787, but haven't yet.
Took KIX to SFO in BF on the 787 and it was nothing to write home about. Seats and cabin already looked worn down even through they are pretty new. Windows are cool but don't blackout all the light. Bathrooms pretty standard. I would rather fly on the UD of the 747 where it's much more private and special. 787 lacked the special feeling of the UD.
