Hi Porsche911,

Presently EK avail of the shared DAA Lounge at DUB T2, which while modern, is basic - no meals as such with only a soup, fruit, cheese & crackers, and crisps available.

EY have their own dedicated lounge however they have operated 2 daily flights from DUB to AUH for the last few years whereas heretofore EK have only operated 1 daily flight to DXB.

That is changing from 1st September however with a 2nd daily EK flight to commence, and which I have previously suspected would justify fit-out etc on a dedicated lounge (as has been done in other regional airports such as GLA once a 2nd daily flight commenced).

I was recently at the Irish Open at Fota Island as a guest of EK in their hospitality tent & got to speak briefly with Margaret Shannon who is the Head of EK in Ireland. I specifically asked her about a dedicated lounge at DUB & she replied that it was 'on the agenda' but there was no indication of timing. I would imagine sometime in 2015 assuming the 2nd daily flight is a success.

Interestingly, I also asked her whether there was the possibility that EK may use one of the older a330/a340's on the route (with old style J & F cabins) & she confirmed that they would be using 777's on both routes.

Hope that helps you a little.
