The simplest way to figure it out is to just try it. Avis.com will tell you whether it will qualify. First try on clearly invalid dates. You'll see a red "coupon invalid" or something like that. Then try it on clearly valid dates (start and end of the rental before the promo end date). You'll see "coupon accepted". Once you know where to find these two messages, try it oin your real dates and see what it says.

Also, if you make the whole reservation (which will be cancellable unless you choose pre-paid) and put in your FFP info (in this case AA) at the end, then at the bottom of the confirmation it'll give you an estimate of the expected miles you'll earn, which includes the bonus from the coupon (if it was "accepted" at the earlier step, of course).
