Actually I had Luxury reservations and they automatically downgraded me to premium when I asked for the V60.
I was actually driving it myself to see if it was something I would want to buy as it really interested me.
The car drove well, I put exactly 1,000 miles on it in two days driving from DC to Boston and then back with a stop on Long Island. I averaged 30 MPG on the FWD model which EPA estimates at 37 MPG, but I did not exactly drive with fuel economy in mind.
I am glad I rented it, because it made up my mind to NOT buy the car. Overall it was perfectly fine for the trip, but The cabin room for me (6'6" 275#) was too cramped to use daily, and with the seat in the position it was (all the way back and heavily reclined), not even a small adult could have fit behind me. I honestly do not know where all the interior space is going, it is simply not laid out well for taller drivers.
I recommend you rent it and make up your own mind though, as my height was the main reason I would not choose to purchase the vehicle. Bluetooth worked fairly well, though the infotainment system takes some getting used to. The leather was comfortable and the E-drive system where the engine shuts off every time the speedometer reads 0 was okay to deal with after some initial doubts. I really wish a back-up camera was standard equipment on Volvos as well, because my rental did not have one.
All in all, if you are not a large guy like myself and you want to try it out I would definitely give it a try.
