While I don't have an issue with that, unfortunately at this point I don't see how heavier enforcement will not lead to delayed departures for months, maybe even longer (given the quantity of infrequent flyers). The question is how long will it take to unlearn the normal flyer and avoid gate delays (if one stars charge a fee at the gate for non-complaint bags). The cure maybe worst than the disease.
Start to enforce the rule, wait two weeks, make sure web site is well lit up on the fees......Have seen this with LCCs, Frontier used to check carry on $ 20 plus for a carry on. Since then took a flight on a full plane. No words at the gate, took off on time.
