I would assume it's the same way most credit card earnings are not capped? i.e. you can earn infinite Membership Rewards points on your spending on Gold/Plat. The only limit being however much you can spend on the card!

Also, if you look at your points statements each quarter, Tesco Bank is shown in a separate section to "Clubcard points from Tesco and our partners"
