Sun Country uses the Humphrey terminal at MSP with fewer services (no lounges at all) which would make it a lot harder to switch to a backup plan when IROPs happen. You'd have to allow about a half hour to change terminals using the light rail and then time for TSA security again, etc.
I've also never seen airport monitors at MSP list flights from the other terminal, although there are some of these in certain airport hotels with evert urging displayed nicely in alphabetical order by destination. (I've never found it easy to get flight information from the MSP airport's website.) You'd almost have to go into multiple airline websites or search using something like EF to find alternative flights and check their status.
