Oh, yes - definitely call Macy's main / flagship store @ 34th Street & get a hold of someone from the luggage dept to see what they can do - (212) 695-4400. Macy's one day sale are on Wednesdays & Saturdays, best time is the morning for better selection/inventory - Tumi & similar high end items might be excluded from these sales and use of discount codes/coupons, however.
Nordstrom Rack store is at Union Square, easy accessible via numerous subway train lines - 60 East 14th Street, New York, NY 10003 (212) 220-2080 nordstrom.com
