Hey at least they don't turn it off! Next time when you go in the room turn the temp down of the fridge. Lots of hotel are doing this for the environment as a Green initiative. Mind you a lot of them probably don't care as much compared to the money they save!

For me if I want it to be cold right away, I will just go grab an ice and put it in the sink.

I do notice a lot of them are not really cold but cool. Also you will have rooms like IC Frankfurt where they put the fridge in a enclosed cabinet with little or no hole to vent the heat produce by the fridge so when you open the cabinet where the fridge is you will feel the warmth rushing out.
