I have been flying this route 12 to 15 times a year for the last 7 years. The fares I have seen the last 30 days are definitely nearly double the average I have generally been paying. As you note it has typically been in the $500-$600 range RT. There was a period of 6 months in 2007 right before the financial crisis where the prices were over a $1,000 RT and I found myself on other airlines connecting and wasting time to stay within company policy.

I will not fly Sun Country as the risk of cancellation with no other options is not acceptable.

It wasn't easy but I did find a routing thru ATL on DL for a much lower price next week which is no longer available. But if I have to connect I would prefer LGA and the fares were no better thru LGA although LGA-MSP without BOS are much lower.

Right now I am hoping this is temporary due to summer peak loads although the pricing appears to be loaded like this thru the end of the year on Monday to Friday trips.

I am not looking forward to routing thru ATL to fly BOS-MSP and really hope this is temporary.
