My CPU percentage has gone down big time. The first year under ex-UA's UDU program, I was a 1P and was batting about 50%. When I made 1K later that year, that boosted to about 85%.

With the merger, I dropped to about 70-75% in 2012-2013. I was content with that percentage... the ones I would miss regularly would be ORD-SFO or ORD-LGA which is more or less what I expected. I saw a lot of hemming and hawing here on FT, but since it didn't really affect me too bad, I felt all the chatter was a little bit overblown.

Enter 2014, and my percentages has cratered. I am now 1 for my last 12 CPU routes (none of these to what I would have considered competitive routes for a 1K..... e.g. failures to RSW, MSP, CLE, PDX etc), and I am looking at about a 30% CPU upgrade rate on the year. Needless to say, I am calling shenanigans and/or blaming cheap buy-ups.

I'm nearly done with travel for the year, so I'm stepping back to see what DP does in the next few months to evaluate if a challenge with AA/US to start 2015 is a good idea.

That said, I am batting 100% on RPU and GPU flights.
