This little tidbit you've dug up seems like superstition to me:

Funny that I say the same thing to most people who say that MH isn't safe after the two crashes ("The most dangerous part of a flight is the drive to the airport"). I don't actually believe that these are cursed, just it's funny that there are these coincidences.
