Hotel Hassler Spanish Steps A Hassle? (Rome, Italy)
We have reservations this fall for the Hassler in Rome but my knees are bothering me and I'm trying to avoid lots of stairs. If we stay at the Hassler is it going to be a problem avoiding the Spanish Steps? How far around does one have to walk to get to another entrance? We will be taking some taxis but also want to walk.
A few years ago we stayed at Albergo del Senato and loved the sensational location across from the Pantheon- should we go back to the Senato? A suite at the Senato is available- the regular rooms are very small. I'm thinking location is the most important consideration in Rome. We had been looking forward to upgrading to the Hassler but now wondering if we should look for an alternative.
Any comments appreciated!
