I really thought long and hard before posting this message in the forums. Baby forums are a little overwhelming and I'm a heck of a lot more comfortable on flyertalk. It's not really travel related, so I'm hoping you might humor me with the post.

As someone who checks this forum multiple times a day, I'm like many of you and love bags. My wife finds it entertaining when I'm watching youtube videos of Tom Bihn bags (and others). So, as far as all the baby gear one needs to get, I'm pretty excited about this. It's a piece of gear that I can understand and grasp. All the other baby gear is overwhelming, so I'm starting with something I know. This will be our first baby.

We live in a large city and will be doing a lot of walking and public transport (metro and bus).

I'm wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a bag. This is what I've been checking out:
Timbuk2 - I like this bag (not the price) but it may be a little big and heavy. It comes in at 3 lb
