Unlike a lot of people here, I was a pmCO flyer, and truly enjoyed getting on the plane and going for a ride. The current state however, is mainly CO's fault. I was on a domestic F ticket around 1 year ago, and the FA proudly announced that this flight was operated by an all CO crew. I used to look forward to going on a business class ticket, but I frequently look elsewhere when flying now. ON my recent SJC-IAH trip, I went with Delta instead of the typical UA noon flight and was surprised at the friendliness of the cabin crew.
I have a friend who worked on the SHARES system. She said that UA APOLLO code was a dream, with everything nicely commented and a good logical flow. She was one of the employees that quit after they decided to stick with SHARES. She told me that the merging of the two computer systems was a bloody mess with no one able to figure out what the hell was happening.
