I was once in F alone and CSD was happy to move my spouse and child to F from J, but they continue to have J meals. Ask the CSD nicely, though YMMV.

But when I was one of two passengers in F, CSD only allowed them to come into F for early disembarking. Her response was "as much as we would like to, the other passenger may complain."
