OK Burkey - what's a 3rd year med stoodint think about the possibility of contracting CJD via blood transfusion? Seems to me that you'd have to come into contact with the infected part of the brain and get that into your bloodstream.

Then, I could be wrong.

PS: What are the chances that someone who spent 6 months in the UK in 1980 and contracted CJD is still 'of this earth'?
