You're right, she is eligible. When I called (at your suggestion) it turned out that she was already on the upgrade list. The medallion desk did it without my asking when I called previously to link the PNRs. However the CSR today noticed that she wasn't listed for all flights, which she quickly fixed.

Our trip is tomorrow. My wife cleared the ATL-SJU upgrade immediately when she was added to the upgrade list today (per my previous comment above.)

This is partly on me for misunderstanding the rules. But DL isn't helping by not indicating "upgrade requested" or similar for her SkyMiles account on delta.com. All of my flights indicate "medallion upgrade requested", while hers don't indicate anything. The exception is tomorrow's flights within T-24, for which her flights are listed as "standby requested".
