I originally posted this thread. In summary, Airtran caneclled pit-lga flights for which I was already ticketed. I originally paid $66, but now equivilant flights cost $328 on USAIR. Airtran offered me to reroute thorough ATL or refund my money. I thought that this was unfair as I can not get the equivilant for anywhere near what I paid. Most people on this board disagreed however stating that an alternate method of travel was provided. I thought a hour journey through ATL was unacceptible. Most others disagreed. I ended up flyine into ewr for $86 and will drive to lga. Not a big deal except my wife is already ticketed on another airline to fly into LGA at the same time I was supposed to get there. I just have to make the extra drive to go pick her up now.
