to me, what makes an aircraft beautiful is sleekness of design, where the designers attempted to incorporate the engines into the body (L-1011, DC-10, 727, Concorde), rather than just bolting them to the wing (with 4 engines - 747, A340, A380 - being the ugliest).
I'll give you the TriStar and 727 in a heartbeat, but will strongly disagree with the DC-10 whose #2 engine isn't at all smoothly integrated into much of anything
the
VC-10, on the other hand, was an amazingly sleek and attractive airliner; I'd also put the Comet 4C in that category of well-integrated engines
