My wife and I are longstanding and current Skywards Gold members and we also have the bonus of access to staff tickets. On the occasions we have used staff tickets, we have always been granted access to EK lounges in DXB and various other parts of the world (not to mention the occasional upgrade).

Last week my wife was flying MEL-KUL on a confirmed staff ticket and had a bit of a battle gaining access to the lounge. Ultimately, the receptionist only allowed her in as a 'special favour' because she 'did not want to make a fuss'.

Does anyone know if there's been a change of policy on this? Thanks in anticipation of your comments.
