Happy to report that check-in was without problems, platinum status was recognized, and room was available before 11am. A good first impression. Lounge is packed but food offerings are the best I've seen in any SPG lounge. Apparently just missed John Kerry and John Hagel who stayed at this hotel and checked out within hours of our arrival.
