There's a particular property that I am interested in booking four nights at. I would like to be in a seaview balcony room. However, the only rewards rooms available are standard rooms. I am platinum. What should I do? Book the standard with points hoping for an upgrade? Is there a way to request an upgrade or make sure I get one ahead of time? Should I book 2 nights with $ and 2 nights with rewards so the hotel would just put me in the same seaview room the whole time (happened last year even though hotel said prior to my arrival that they would not).
Any thoughts appreciated.
