This type of information should be some how posted for each hotel thread that has areas like this nearby. To inform unwary travelers.
If you're just in the area on a one-night stay with no plans to leave the general area around the hotel, it's fine. The hotel is one stop light away from the airport and there are a number of other hotels, restaurants, etc. along the same road.
With that said, the hotel itself is actually a pretty good deterrent.
