I see no reason to think that Alaska makes different awards available to different air partners. The fact that bruinfan90 could book his desired ticket thru AA means that Alaska made that award available to any partner airline. The more likely — and infuriating — explanation for what's going on is that Korean's IT is broken; they know it; and they just don't care enough to fix it.
