My travel agent booked me on a connecting flight from the US (on UA) to SE Asia (on CA) via Beijing. They claim no visa is required to transit. However, I read about the 72 hour China transit visa and am somewhat concerned. There were references to having to register with the police. Has anyone transited via Beijing on this transit visa program? How does it work? Thanks in advance.
