Early on in the merger United and it's technicians agreed to not fence the fleets. Meaning a mechanic could work on any airplane sUA or sCO, it didn't matter. So as far as maintenance is concerned its one fleet.
Good point, and thanks for the clarification, though that's not exactly what I was referring to. The separate subsidiairies structure still creates aircraft, parts, and crew availability issues.
