Emphasise this: your travel agent is only barely correct that the security check at ANC will be sufficient (based on the current layout of LAX). The only airside way to get from T6 (Alaska) to TBIT (Qantas) is by two (airside) buses, one to AA's T4, and a second to TBIT. So I would go for longer than 1.5 hours if possible, even if it involves a connection in SEA.
Note that it's quite likely that an airside connection without a bus from T6 to AA's T4 will be open by July 2015 (as AA gets a few gates in T6 in the next month or two, and there is an existing tunnel that they just have to decide to open). And there may even be an airside walking connection from T4 to TBIT by then; no idea what the construction timetable is.
