I had a work trip to Chicago planned and it's about time to see where I stand with the end of the year a few months away...

I booked the following:

LAX - SFO = 500mi
SFO - BOS = 2,704mi
BOS - ORD = 867mi
ORD - BOS = 867mi
BOS - IAH = 1,597mi
IAH - LAX = 1,379mi

7,914 miles for $613 of which about $400 is reimbursable. Not bad. A few connection are 45-50 minutes but I will hope for the best.

Is there a dollar per mile goal that people try to use when doing a mileage run?
