The boarding pass isn't mandatory. Get them to put the locator and flight number on a post it note, slap it on the passport, and that will do the trick. Though not really necessary, the e-ticket number can also be useful, more if someone's writing isn't too clear. The BP would be easier but they can find it with name and flight number (or their BAEC card) alone. They won't check you in without you being there but they will check everyone else in and print their boarding passes for both sectors, as well as deal with the baggage.
Yes for the checking the bag, but if they are connecting at T5 from a DOM-INT if they have their bp they can just do the connection and head straight in to the departures hall where they can meet up with
Dicksbits. If they don't have their bp they will have to exit to landside, get their bp printed, and go through security.
