Have now completed our first intra-Europe AY flight HEL-AMS. Must say that row 1 on the A321 was the right choice for us. You can stretch your legs completely straight in the aisle seats on either side as the bulkhead wall in front doesn't extend all the way across. Of course the window seat passenger can't stretch their legs as far, but the bulkhead is far enough forward to not cause too much restriction. With no-one leaning back into our space and what seemed like a relatively new plane/cabin, it was an acceptable business class product when coupled with good service, a decent meal with nice wines, on-time performance and priority boarding and baggage. All up a great first experience with AY which went without a hitch. The long-haul from BKK was a positive experience too, despite being the old AF A340, but that's for a different thread
