I remember my 'personal' letter from Lord King offering me TATL flights for about £100. This was pre-9/11 so I guess was in the oil crisis of the 90's.

We booked JFK and our 'nonstop' flights were 'enhanced' to include stops in BHX outbound and GLA inbound. Very few passengers, so I took advantage of 4 unoccupied WT seats for my best TATL sleep. Well, until OF anyway.

Oh, we arrived at JFK minus a bag which was delivered to our hotel overnight.
