It only screws up the "secure flight" data. If that's where you put the wrong birthdate you'll probably have no problem (unless your name and birthdate matches someone on the "no fly" list - not likely). The worst that could happen is that you might get a little extra TSA screening. I wouldn't worry about this issue.
