This would be my biggest worry.
We did the YVR to PVG transfer to WZ regularly on AC and CA, we usually left a 3-4 hour connection time and we still missed the connection 3-4 times in a span of four years.
After saying that, we did make the connection most times.
However, I have found delays at PVG getting worse and worse, especially in recent years.
