I recently booked a fairly last minute flight from BNA to EWR on US. There was some ticketing holdup, such that it hadn't been issued by the time I arrived at the airport. Not only did US charge me $36 for walkup ticketing, but the snotty woman said I would have to $43 each leg for the exit row.

She said "our CEO would have to pay to sit there. It's how we make money, and now he's going to be the CEO of American so get used to it.....WE'RE GOING TO BE IN CHARGE NOW"

US is off my list until they fully merge with AA. Worried about the CEO comment, as that is a carrier that needs to be consigned to the scrapheap of history.
