This is not a requirement of the Challenge; so your PE flight SYD-SIN-SYD on QF will complete the challenge.
(It has long been a requirement for achieving status the 'normal' way - earning sufficient EQM, EQP or EQS for the status level - but until recently it was not enforced, now sadly it is
)
