Spent the night at Hilton Barcelona August 2014 on an award stay. HH Gold member, was on the 10th floor with a nice view (11 floor hotel). Free wifi, 2 bottles of water and the full English breakfast Buffett in the morning (pretty good selection of different things.)

I asked if I was on an executive floor, was told the hotel was full so that would not be possible. Likewise confirmed later with front desk no Exec lounge access, which is in line with T&Cs. My room had shower/toilet/bidet - no bath, as well as minibar and a TV with English language news channels. After 4 weeks in squalor around Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan I was in love - especially after finding bathrobes in the closet which were perfect for me as I did my laundry in the sink. Haha. (They have a laundry service, but out of my budget and I already had some Tide cold water with me.)

I used bus and subway (#46 bus and L3 subway) to get to the hotel for less than 6€ from the airport. Also used uber twice for about 13€ to goto and return from clubs.

Had a beef burger in the hotel bar for dinner with fries that was also very welcome. It was cooked well done which is fine with me but others might prefer otherwise. Also. BACON (see above after a month in no-pork-places)

Will try to check out the gym later. I requested at checkin and received a 2pm late checkout.
