Once again my 350pm seattle to Boston is delayed 2 hours. Same flight I was on 2 weeks ago and it was 2 hour delay then. Keep having to shell out 100 extra to get home from the airport because none of the shuttle companies pick up after 2am. Should have suck with my initial connection in PDX. I guess it's my fault doing a 10 hour tourist stopover in Seattle instead. Well now 12 due to Alaskas mess up.
Just browsing through the flight history, it looks like these are the only two times this flight has been seriously delayed.
Historically, late July and early August tend to have more delays, just because planes have been flying longer hours since late May, and MELs can start to accumulate. Also, all the planes are packed, so there can be more of a domino effect when an aircraft does get taken out of service. You can't just cancel a round-trip and get back on schedule that way. By late August, the schedule starts to get paired back a little, and on-time performance usually rises. In any event, if the June DOT report is any indication, AS is still WAY ahead of other US network carriers when it comes to on-time performance.
