- KIX to SR Osaka - your suggested route works
- Osaka to Kyoto - Unless you have a lot of money to burn, take the normal JR line from Osaka stn to Kyoto. The entire journey is only 1/2 hour. Yes the Shinkansen gets you there in 14 minutes but it will cost you more than double the price on the 2nd class, not including the taxi journey from SR osaka to Shin osaka station.
- Kyoto to tokyo - Nozomi as you have already mentioned.
- PH tokyo to NRT - do look at the limousine bus timings to see if they fit your schedule. I highly recommend the limousine bus as it is a point to point service from the hotel straight to the terminal, rather than taxi to shinjuku for the NEX
I agree that it doesn't make sense to take the Shinkansen from Osaka to Kyoto. By the time you've driven the longer distance to Shin Osaka - you're probably not saving any time at all. As for various classes of trains (first/second) - or a train versus a taxi - that's for the OP to decide for himself.
I also agree about the limo bus versus the NEX. Both were pretty much across the street from our hotel. We took the limo bus when we arrived - and the NEX when we departed. The limo bus is a lot easier IMO - especially in terms of dealing with luggage. Robyn
