If you use an agent you need ID. No debating that regardless of your thoughts of no bags, etc. The kiosk may get "appear" to bypass the ID requirement....but you need an AAdvantage number, PNR or credit card. All of this is pseudo-restricted info that only the traveller should/would know or have. So technically the kiosk is still secure and requires information that comes directly from the traveller.
