Anything on UA/LH metal. The flight number shouldn't matter at that point for protection.

Since the inbound carrier is responsible to fix things that would be LH at the EU airport and, theoretically, they can do more with your onward flight on LH but since they'll own the record anyways they can push you on to an alternate LH-operated flight just as easily even if it was UA-op'd before things went pear-shaped.
