I got the Citi Executive AA card during the 100k bonus for 10k spend in 3 months. I was also meeting minimum spend on 4 other cards at the time. Well, after drinking a bottle of Kendall Jackson Chardonnay purchased for $9.97

, I decided to do the current spend in my head and forgot to subtract the annual fee from my bill

. Put the card in the sock drawer and went on to meet minimum spend on the BA 100k offer. Fast forward 3 months later and looked at my AA account and promptly went into panic mode. I emailed customer care and they said sorry, you missed by $34. Any suggestions?
I would just take the lump and lesson learned. You should always get a buffer past the minimum spending. A spreadsheet will help in the future. Maybe meeting the spend on five cards at one time is too much. I would also prioritize the spending from high to low. You could beg and plead, but I don't know if they are going to concede and give you so many miles. Be as polite as possible. I would call, email creates a buffer.
