If the AMEX travel reservation is paid on arrival, then it counts.
If the AMEX travel reservation is paid in advance and the corresponding rate at Hyatt.com is not paid in advance, then it does not count.
If the AMEX travel reservation is paid in advance and the corresponding rate at Hyatt.com is also paid in advance, then it could go either way though very likely will not count.
