I guess you didn't read my entire post before making a comment on it. According to your reference to the 'rules', I qualified for the lounge.

I was traveling internationally on ANA from Narita to San Jose and then I connected on a United flight for my domestic connections. I've done these types of connections before and never had any trouble entering the lounges, but only in San Jose when using ANA
