Need to be in PHX for 24 hours tomorrow night so looked for a return out of SEA where I will be. Found an economy fare on AA/US at $890 and a fully flex F fare at $980.

Needless to say, I went for the latter.

Then a moment ago, I thought I'd check whether the flights were available using Avios. The outward was available, and one close time-wise to the inward was too, and so I thought I'd press GO and cancel the paid ticket.

Then a price of 105,000 Avios + £6 came up.

105,000 for a 2hr50 min domestic flight!?! Seems pricey, no?

I'll keep the paid ticket as I have jokers to use and so my Avios are actually quite useful.
