know exactly where your coming from ! and im in exactly the same position as you re living, working etc !

but............ at least you guys up around MAN get a BA service to LHR !

try moving to Cornwall if you really want to feel upset with BA

however back to topic, the early MAN-LHR domestics get in with plenty of time to spare to make every destination ex LHR, and probably on the first outbound wave so in all honesty even if you lived around London you would probably still be on the same ex LHR departure.

Yes you will have to pay the extra for the connection, but you will also benefit from extra tier points and avios as a result !

If you can get to Silver you will benefit from a really nice BA lounge @ MAN and priority security etc which makes the Manchester thing much more pleasant.
