The commercial that started this thread though- I'm impressed. With all the problems focused upon at FT, somehow this commercial gives me hope that the old days of a proud United Airlines can return. I don't think Jeff S has anything whatsoever to do with the thinking behind this one; it's not about "the network" or in any other way trying to impress us with things that can be expressed with numbers and hyperbole. Instead it's a "Why we fly" sort of commercial, an indication that United knows something about us on an emotional level.
