LUX normally lands on the far side to T1, and sometimes directly into T2, so keep your wits around you since there are some shared corridors you can reverse yourself down. At T1 Flight Connections you can reverse down to T2 without a boarding pass check, but there is a boarding pass check for T1 at T1, but not for T2 back to T1 (unless this has changed in the last 3 weeks). So yes there is a chance of making a wrong turning and therefore being directed direct to T5 without passing Go. Have Plan B ready. I believe there is some discretion available to HAL agents since some lounges are in the wrong place, so some airlines using T2 need passengers to use lounges in T1, at least for the time being.
Ok thanks - now I see where the convoluted bit comes in!

So basically I will need to make my way to T1 flight connections, where there will be some sort of (signed?) passage to T2 with no boarding pass check?

Plus I'll need to be prepared that if I go the wrong way I may go past a "point of no return" and just have to go landside or to T5, and once I get to T2 I may not be allowed into the lounge anyway? But if they say no at the T2 lounge I could possibly get back to T1 with no boarding pass check to try there?
