Quick question for the experts. I was booked:

JFK - SXM - EWR (stopover) - GIG. I was surprised it priced but it did (and for those that are interested, as a USA - Caribbean / Caribbean - South America award).

I'm currently back in EWR, and am awaiting the trip to GIG. But I now want to change the EWR - GIG portion to EWR - OGG. The agents are saying that I cannot reroute a trip at the stopover point, which I never realized to be the case.

Why isn't it repricing? Wouldn't it simply be a USA -> Caribbean -> Hawaii award with a stopover in the USA?

Any ideas? Thanks all.
